This adapter conveniently puts a five 4mm bullet connectors and a power switch, on your Server powers supply, and protects the exposed contacts of the PCB.
Compatible with the following model numbers: DPS-800GB/ML370/DL580/403781-001/399771-001/379123-001 The ones you are looking for look like these.
They can be found on many different market places like Ebay.
All that you need is a couple of tools and very basic soldering skills, all the main leads are tinned so all you need to do is take out a couple of screws, and apply a little solder to the contacts then, put the screws back in.
The design is simple yet elegant for providing the output and guarding the fans that keep it cool.
Printed and illustrated instructions are included.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONLY THE ADAPTER, THE POWER SUPPLY IS NOT INCLUDED!
Does What It's Supposed To, But Not Blown Away
Went together per the instructions just fine. I used an HP DPS-800GB A power supply, and I also modded it for 13.6V output (soldered another jumper and a resistor). I thought the provided cables were a bit too long and snipped about 3/8" off them, no problem. The fit was good, and it mounted very solidly to the PS.
The adapter body is a printed part. Not the best quality print, the layers of the print are very visible and the surface is not smooth. Not as nice looking as the product page photos. But, as mentioned, it's functionally fine. I haven't had it long enough to know if it will hold up over extended use.
The biggest disappointment is that the product page shows a black enclosure for the power supply with the Far Vew logo on it. This is not included, only the white connector adapter part on the front. The product description doesn't mention it one way or the other, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to get what the photo shows. Not a deal-killer, but I kinda feel I got less than expected there.
Overall, I definitely recommend this if you want to convert a DPS-800GB A power supply, it does the job. I connect five ISDT Q6+ to it to charge FPV LiPos. I'm mostly satisfied, except for the mentioned finish of the part and the misunderstanding of whether the enclosure part comes with it or not.
